Feral Druid DPS Stat Priority — 12.0.5
On this page, you will find out the optimal stat priority for your Feral Druid. We first present the stat priority, before delving into more complex explanations on how the stats interact with your specialization and gameplay. Our content is updated for World of Warcraft Patch 12.0.5.
Feral Druid Stat Priority
Welcome to our Stat Priority page for Feral Druid in the Midnight expansion! Here we'll quickly be going over the stats you should aim for on gear, alongside any special considerations depending on your build.
While there's no significant changes between single-target and AoE, Feral has some slight differences depending on your chosen Hero Talent. These differences are minor though, and you can often get away with using one gearset between them.
Druid of the Claw Stat Priority
Druid of the Claw generally has the following stat priority:
In Midnight, Agility is much more valuable following the stat squish, meaning that most of your gearing decisions are driven by item-level once again.
Mastery is often the top priority stat at all gear levels, providing a significant
amplifier to both finishers, a key part of
Druid of the Claw, alongside
your Bleed effects.
Haste is second, needed to smooth out some resource concerns and hunt for
additional
Ravage procs, with Critical Strike roughly equal to generate
additional Combo Points through
Primal Fury.
Versatility falls to the bottom of the pile with no special interactions, though does come with some defensive benefits and shouldn't be completely neglected.
Wildstalker Stat Priority
Wildstalker generally has the following stat priority:
In Midnight, Agility is much more valuable following the stat squish, meaning that most of your gearing decisions are driven by item-level once again.
Mastery remains your top priority stat to amplify finishers and Bleeds, the core
of
Wildstalker's damage toolkit. Haste is very close behind to increase
Energy generation and Bleed tick rate.
Critical Strike provides extra Combo Points to cycle finishers, and depending on your gear level can often compete with both of the above options as well.
Versatility comes in last with no unique interactions, though provides some defensive benefits and shouldn't be completely neglected.

In-Depth Stat Breakdown
As a Feral Druid, Agility is your primary stat, which should be present on all Leather gear you wear, alongside your weapon. Individual stats provide the following benefits:
- Agility - provides you with Attack Power, increasing the damage of your Feral abilities and melee attacks.
- Critical Strike - increases the chance for your attacks critically
strike, dealing double damage. Additionally:
Primal Fury Grants an additional Combo Point when you Critically
Strike with a Combo Point generator.
- Mastery - improves
Mastery: Razor Claws, increasing all damage
dealt by your Bleed effects. Additionally:
- Increases the damage dealt by all direct damage finishing moves.
- Increases the damage dealt by
Rampant Ferocity.
- Haste - increases your auto attack speed and Energy regeneration.
Additionally:
- Increases the tick rate of your Bleed DoT effects.
- Increases damage dealt by Combo Point generators by 40% of
your current amount via
Predator.
- Versatility - increases all damage and healing you do (including trinkets and proc effects) by a flat amount. Additionally, reduces all damage you take by half of that amount.
Diminishing Returns on Stats
Every stat has a limit where they will begin to offer less increase per point gained, which are known as the points of diminishing return. Once you have reached these amounts, stats will become progressively less valuable and may fall behind other options. The current breakpoints are:
| Stat | 10% DR Rating | 20% DR Rating | 30% DR Rating |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mastery | 1380 | 1840 | 2300 |
| Critical Strike | 1380 | 1840 | 2300 |
| Haste | 1320 | 1760 | 2200 |
| Versatility | 1620 | 2160 | 2700 |
