From the weakest to the strongest specialization, each provide
unique character distinction and add value toward shaping the seasonal
"meta" of Mythic+. The Healer specialization rankings provided for
Midnight's Season 1 of Mythic+ are based on the pure healing strength and
group-added-value such as utility, survivability, mobility, damage and self-sustain.
This list will be updated as new tuning and class changes come out
over the course of the season.
This tier list is NOT FINAL; it will change and will be updated
regularly during Midnight Mythic+ Season 1. There are
often moments of tier set and class tuning, as well as talent changes and
secondary stat scaling that will impact the placement of the specs.

Mythic+ Healer Tier List in Mythic + for Midnight Season 1
Below, you can find the full rankings for Healers slots in Midnight Season 1.
We encourage you to further read and understand
why some classes are placed lower or higher than expected, with several
factors taken into consideration.
S
Mistweaver Monk
Mistweaver Monk
received quite a few changes leading up to the Midnight expansion, with the
most notable being Jadefire Teachings now being a passive, and
Mending Proliferation & Chi Harmony having been removed. One downside
of Mistweaver is that your external defensive options are the weakest
out of any healer, as Life Cocoon still does not compare to what other healers have
to offer. Despite that, Mistweaver is looking like a promising choice
in Season 1, with one of their biggest advantages being a very
strong healing profile.
Restoration Druid has
received its fair share of changes coming into the Midnight expansion, with an intense
pruning on their rotational core that aims to lower the barrier-to-entry
for the specialization. Healing-over-time management will now be much easier, as you now
only have to maintain 1Lifebloom (compared to 2 in TWW) and
have Power of the Archdruid, making room for more GCDs, better planning, and quicker
healing setups. Their current healing performance is considered one of the best and is
a leading factor for their S-tier placement.
Restoration Shaman
is the healer that got torn to pieces and rebuilt in Midnight, as the design
of the spec is totally different compared to before. Your Ascendance
is now a choice-node with Healing Tide Totem, while Cloudburst Totem has been removed.
Your core gameplay loop will consist of Riptide, Chain Heal, Healing Wave,
and Healing Rain. Your Apex talent will also support this playstyle, providing passive healing
that will be a good addition to your overall HPS profile. It's also important to note that
Restoration Shaman is the ONLY healer that still has an interrupt, making it extremely
valuable in Mythic+, on top of retaining the majority of its group-wide utility and mob-control
(except Thunderstorm).
Holy Paladin
received a major rework for the Midnight expansion, with some
of the most notable changes being: Avenging Wrath having lower cooldown,
a massive focus on Holy Shock due to the removal of Crusader Strike,
Holy Prism is now a choice node with Divine Toll,
and Light of Dawn is now a baseline 40-yard spell. Such a massive shift
has taken Holy Paladin to focus entirely on Holy Shock for both
offensive and defensive gameplay, to support their playstyle without having to rely on abilities like
Crusader Strike to do damage. This will help with gaps where previously they
were struggling with HPS outside of their major cooldowns.
Discipline Priest
received quite a few changes leading up to the Midnight expansion, with a major focus
on pruning its core rotation and easing the requirement for good cooldown management.
Ultimate Penitence is now a choice node with Power Word: Barrier, while a changed
Evangelism and the removal of Renew are some of the major changes
the spec has seen during the Beta period. Sadly the current healing output of Discipline
Priest is not looking good, which is the primary reason for their poor placement.
In addition, their mana management, might need some optimization in
the long run.
Preservation Evoker
received a major rework for Midnight with some of the
highlights being: Lifebind can no longer be echoed, and the removal of Spiritbloom,
Emerald Communion, and Cycle of Life. The core of its healing kit will instead be
shifted towards Verdant Embrace, Dream Breath, Echo,
Reversion, and your Apex Talents (Merithra's Blessing). Overall the
spec should play a lot easier compared to the previous expansion, allowing newcomers
to play it smoothly while still doing good healing.
Holy Priest,
received its fair share of changes leading up to the Midnight expansion,
with some of the highlights being: Heal, Renew, Symbol of HopeLightwell, and Divine Word removed, shifting its focus towards
Holy Word gameplay paired with Prayer of Healing, Prayer of Mending,
and Flash Heal. Although quite a few things have changed for Holy Priest, their core
gameplay will remain similar to what they were already doing in TWW. Their current
damage profile is one of the highest compared to all other Healing specializations,
but unfortunately their weak AoE healing drags their rank down.
