You will always want to have one Diamond gem, ideally a maximum Quality Indecipherable Eversong Diamond Icon Indecipherable Eversong Diamond if it is your only gem socket, or a Telluric Eversong Diamond Icon Telluric Eversong Diamond once you have 4+ sockets available to get the maximum benefit out of it. When switching to the max-Mana diamond, make sure to have at least one gem of each type in the other sockets to max out the Mana gain effect, ideally one Flawless Versatile Garnet Icon Flawless Versatile Garnet, Flawless Deadly Lapis Icon Flawless Deadly Lapis, Flawless Deadly Peridot Icon Flawless Deadly Peridot, and Flawless Deadly Amethyst Icon Flawless Deadly Amethyst.

Optimal Consumables

In addition to enchants and improvements to your gear, making sure you come prepared with the right consumables to endgame content has a big impact on your performance.

3.1.

Flask

You will generally want to be using Flask of the Shattered Sun Icon Flask of the Shattered Sun in raids, as Critical Strike is a favored stat for all talent builds, while swapping to Flask of Thalassian Resistance Icon Flask of Thalassian Resistance in Mythic+ for its defensive benefits.

3.2.

Potions

Light's Potential Icon Light's Potential is your best combat potion option, and should be paired with major cooldowns during moments of high group damage. You can also obtain Fleeting Light's Potential Icon Fleeting Light's Potential from Voidlight Potion Cauldron Icon Voidlight Potion Cauldron provided by Alchemists.

Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion is the current best healing potion, which should be used in emergencies or whenever you do not have the time to heal yourself. It does not share a cooldown with the combat potion, and using potions has a 5-minute cooldown, allowing you to use multiple in long encounters.

While Mana-restoring potions do exist, they are very low value compared to Light's Potential Icon Light's Potential, and therefore not worth using in almost all scenarios. You may want to keep a stack of them at hand for absolute emergencies, but it is generally better to simply use a stat-potion alongside your cooldowns.

3.3.

Food Buff

You should be eating from the Silvermoon Parade Icon Silvermoon Parade or Harandar Celebration Icon Harandar Celebration feasts whenever possible, but can also use Royal Roast Icon Royal Roast in solo and small group scenarios.

Hearty versions of all foods can be created by the Cooking profession by combining 5 to 10 regular foods and, once eaten, provide their benefit for a full hour, even if you die midway through.

3.4.

Augment Rune

Void-Touched Augment Rune Icon Void-Touched Augment Rune grant a decent amount of Intellect and come from many sources, including NPC crafting orders for the various professions.

As they tend to be very expensive for the stats granted, use these only in high-stakes situations!
