Beast Mastery Hunter Stat Priority

The stat priority across all builds for Beast Mastery Hunter is as follows.

Mastery
Crit. Strike
Haste
Versatility

Remember that the less you have of a stat relative to others, the stronger it tends to become. Stat priorities are based on equalizing all stats and looking at how powerfully stats scale from a set point, as well as looking at the highest-simming gear setups for the spec and looking at what stat priority got it there.

On pure single-target, Haste is better than Crit by a small margin. But for all-around purposes, Crit is stronger than Haste by a significant amount.

In-Depth Stat Breakdown

Agility is your primary stat. It provides you with Attack Power, which determines the damage your abilities do across the board.

Mastery, through Mastery: Master of Beasts Icon Mastery: Master of Beasts, increases the damage done by yourself and, to a greater extent, all the pets and creatures that you summon. This includes your main pet, Dire Beasts and more.

Haste increases your attack speed and Focus regeneration, reduces your Global Cooldown from 1.5 seconds to a minimum of 0.750 seconds, and reduces the cooldown on your Kill Command Icon Kill Command and Barbed Shot Icon Barbed Shot abilities.

FAQIs There a Haste Cap for Beast Mastery Hunter?
There are no breakpoints for Beast Mastery for Haste. It is generally our third or occasionally worst stat.

Critical Strike increases your chance to critically hit with all spells and abilities, causing them to deal double damage. Lots of Beast Mastery Talents work off of critical strike, including but not limited to Laceration Icon Laceration and Piercing Fangs Icon Piercing Fangs.

Versatility increases all your damage and healing done, and decreases all damage taken.

Diminishing Returns on Stats

Every stat has a limit where they will begin to offer less increase per point gained, which are known as the points of diminishing return. Once you have reached these amounts, stats will become progressively less valuable and may fall behind other options. The current breakpoints are:

Stat 10% DR Rating 20% DR Rating 30% DR Rating
Mastery 1380 1840 2300
Critical Strike 1380 1840 2300
Haste 1320 1760 2200
Versatility 1620 2160 2700
