On this page, we list the best gems, enchants, flasks, potions, and food you can get for your Vengeance Demon Hunter, based on your stat priority. We also give budget alternatives. This page is updated for World of Warcraft Patch 12.0.5.

1.

Your best combination of gems uses a Indecipherable Eversong Diamond Icon Indecipherable Eversong Diamond for your single Thalassian Diamond, and combining it with Flawless Deadly Peridot Icon Flawless Deadly Peridot in all remaining sockets. If you happen to have gear that is very heavy on Haste you could use Flawless Versatile Garnet Icon Flawless Versatile Garnet instead of Flawless Deadly Peridot Icon Flawless Deadly Peridot for slightly better stat balance.

FAQWhat Weapon Enchant Should I use?
Generally you want to use Enchant Weapon - Berserker's Rage Icon Enchant Weapon - Berserker's Rage since Haste is the strongest stats defensively for Vengeance. However, if you happen to be very heavily invested into Haste on your gear, and close to the diminishing returns breakpoints of 1320 Haste, you probably want to consider running one or even two Enchant Weapon - Jan'alai's Precision Icon Enchant Weapon - Jan'alai's Precision or Enchant Weapon - Worldsoul Tenacity Icon Enchant Weapon - Worldsoul Tenacity to spread out your stats a bit and gain slightly more offensive and defensive value.

Optimal Consumables

In addition to enchants and improvements to your gear, making sure you come prepared with the right consumables to endgame content has a big impact on your performance.

3.1.

Flask

Midnight flasks come in four variants, one for each secondary stat. Vengeance prefers Flask of the Blood Knights Icon Flask of the Blood Knights for Haste, but if you are very heavy on Haste gear you can choose to use Flask of the Shattered Sun Icon Flask of the Shattered Sun for Critical Strike or Flask of Thalassian Resistance Icon Flask of Thalassian Resistance for Versatility instead.

3.2.

Potions

When it comes to Combat potions the strongest option is currently Potion of Recklessness Icon Potion of Recklessness for a massive burst of your highest Secondary Stat, which is usually going to be Haste, at a small loss of your lowest Secondary Stat. This makes it a really strong potion for both burst damage and survivability while it is active.

Midnight also has a Healing potion, Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion, which can be used for a burst of healing if needed. As a tank it will not restore a massive amount of your health, but it can still be useful in a pinch.

3.3.

Food Buff

There are plenty of food choices available in Midnight, but the food that currently looks to perform the best is one of the Main Stat Feasts such as Silvermoon Parade Icon Silvermoon Parade, and if that is not available you can use Royal Roast Icon Royal Roast for yourself.
