Upgrading gear in Midnight continues to use the Crest system which lets you increase the item level of gear along tracks that relate to where you obtained the item, which harder content dropping gear that can be upgraded to higher Item Levels. For Midnight Season 1 as a Holy Paladin, you will want to try and prioritize getting the Helmet, Shoulder, Chest, and Gloves set pieces. However, getting the Pants to complete one of the bonuses is still better than any other gearing choice.

If you have limited time to play the game, we recommend to farm the following dungeons:

• Algeth'ar Academy: Drops the best available dungeon weapon: Spellboon Saber and one of the best trinkets: Emerald Coach's Whistle.
• Windrunner Spire: Drops a weapon ( Excavating Cudgel) and the two best dungeon trinkets ( Emberwing Feather and Heart of Wind)
• Magister's Terrace: Drops a shield, powerful ring, and other good pieces.

Below we will provide a rough tier list of available trinkets. This can help you to make quick decisions as to which trinkets are worth farming or what you want to roll need on. Note that we will not include every trinket, just some of the top choices. As always, a worse trinket with a much higher item level could potentially be better than the best trinket at a low item level. Always consult with QuestionablyEpic.

Midnight's patch 12.0.5 introduces two new yet familiar systems:

• Nebulous Voidcore can be used to acquire specific items from specific bosses or dungeons, by letting you gain a guaranteed piece of loot from a specific drop-location. Which item you will receive is random, but once an item has been acquired in this way, your next use of a Voidcore will grant one of the remaining items you haven't yet acquired.
• Ascendant Voidcore can be used to further increase the itemlevel of Hero or Myth track items if they have reached the highest possible itemlevel already, as well as Radiance-Crafted items at max quality. This will further boost their power, similar to the additional upgrade from previous Turbo Boost events.

The recommendation for using Nebulous Voidcore will change heavily based on the gear you currently have through killing a boss or the Great Vault. Additionally, if you don't expect to kill certain Mythic bosses, then this will also impact your recommendations. Our general priority will be as follows:

Voidcore (Bonus Roll) Priority

1. Myth Track Weapon (if you do not have one)
2. Mythic Gaze of the Alnseer
3. Mythic Locus-Walker's Ribbon
4. If you are unlikely to kill Mythic Crown of the Cosmosfor a while, you can opt for Mythic Vaelgor's Final Stare.
5. Remaining BiS List items - Aim to prioritize items that are heavily contested such as Jewelery.

Using your Ascendant Voidcores follows a similar priority list as using your Crests. You will want to start by upgrading your weapons followed by trinkets. Additionally, you can always consult with QELive to help you make decisions. Keep in mind that you will also want to prioritize Myth track items unless you do not expect to get a Myth track variant of said item (think trinkets specifically).

Professions are a great way to gear up with your optimal secondary stats, as adding special items to the crafting process lets you pick and choose the exact secondary stats you want.

As your ability to craft items will be time-gated in the initial stages of Midnight, we highly recommend getting a Mainhand weapon as soon as possible. No other item will provide you as large of a power increase. Of course if you get a Myth track weapon from your Great Vault, then you will want to instead craft something else. You may see some players choosing to wait until they open their vaults to make a decision as to what they should craft.

Holy Paladin Crafted Gear Priority

• Magister's Mana Sword with Darkmoon Sigil: Hunt and Haste/Mastery
• Spellbreaker's Rebuke with Arcanoweave Lining and Haste/Mastery
• Any item you do not have on Myth track yet.

Up to two of your crafted items can be Embellished. This is a similar concept as Unique-Equipped, as you can only wear two items that have the Embellished status. Some crafted items, many of which have powerful procs or beneficial effects by default, are considered Embellished. You can also add Embellishments from a variety of professions to any crafted item, adding the effect to this item either when creating it or at a later stage.

We tend to recommend crafting weapon slots early as they will provide the most initial power at the start of a new season, but they will not be your overall Best in Slot items. In general your best in slot will be:

• Spellbreaker's Bracers with Arcanoweave Lining and Haste/Mastery
• Adherent's Silken Shroud with Arcanoweave Lining and Haste/Mastery

You can add sockets to Helmets, Belts, and Bracers with the Radiant Jewelbinder consumable that you can get if you do not select any of the choices in your Great Vault. Not picking a choice will grant you tokens, six of which can be traded in for the Radiant Jewelbinder item that allows you to add a socket to the above piece of gear, if you acquired them in Season 1.

Early into the season, or if you have just started playing an alt, you will have limited access to upgrading-crests such as Myth Dawncrest. These can be used to upgrade gear to higher itemlevels. Since crests are limited each week and upgrading different items costs the same amount of crests regardless, you will want to prioritize your usage of them on items you plan on not replacing anytime soon, or that offer the biggest benefits.

The priority will change heavily depending on whether or not you are crafting a weapon. If you do not craft a weapon and instead get an early Myth track one then you should prioritize upgrading the weapon first. Otherwise you can follow the order below:

Trinkets ➜ Helmet/Chest/Legs ➜ Shoulders/Gloves/Belt/Boots

As previously mentioned, you will want to prioritize the items you know that you will not replace. If you have a BiS Myth track tier helm, that would take priority over a Hero track trinket that is not BiS. The above order assumes that everything is Myth track.

Throughout this page and elsewhere in our guide, we regularly refer to the importance of simming yourself on Raidbots. This is because every character is unique, and each gear piece you have access to can change what is best right now for you.

While we do offer recommendations for gear and trinkets, these are not complete replacements for simming yourself. The only way to truly optimize your character to that degree is by making use of the tools available!
