Best Gems for Balance Druid

You should use Indecipherable Eversong Diamond Icon Indecipherable Eversong Diamond in one socket, and a combination of Critical Strike and Mastery gems should be socketed into your remaining sockets. While there are some edge-cases where other gems might be slightly more valuable, you cannot go wrong with this setup.

FAQWhich Tertiary Stats do I want?
Speed, Leech, and Avoidance all have their specific applications. Assuming they offer the same quantity of stats, the type of tertiary is largely a personal preference. There are specific mechanic types that influence each type especially if you have the gold to freely swap:
  • Leech is best against Heal absorbs and DoT damage.
  • Avoidance is best against pulsing damage and large hits.
  • Speed is a good default tertiary if you are not familiar with the mechanics but is almost never mandatory to complete any type of encounter.

Optimal Consumables

In addition to enchants and improvements to your gear, making sure you come prepared with the right consumables to endgame content has a big impact on your performance.

4.1.

Flask

The default flask for most situations is Flask of the Magisters Icon Flask of the Magisters, especially if you are not at a Myth-track ilvl yet. Flask of the Shattered Sun Icon Flask of the Shattered Sun becomes more valuable at higher gear-levels, or when all your equipped items already provide Mastery passively.

4.2.

Potions

The best DPS potion is Light's Potential Icon Light's Potential. Draught of Rampant Abandon Icon Draught of Rampant Abandon offers approximately 0.7% more DPS than Light's Potential but will drop several silence zones over the duration. It is generally not advised to use this as a caster.

During encounters, you can heal yourself using Silvermoon Health Potion Icon Silvermoon Health Potion and Healthstone Icon Healthstone. Make sure you use these when in danger of dying.

4.3.

Food Buff

Harandar Celebration Icon Harandar Celebration or Silvermoon Parade Icon Silvermoon Parade should be used in raid or dungeons if possible. Otherwise, Royal Roast Icon Royal Roast offers main stat but no stamina, making it a great choice for all content. The feast heavily outperforms other food options.

4.4.

Augment Rune

For close progression pulls or for pushing your damage, you can also use a Void-Touched Augment Rune Icon Void-Touched Augment Runes.
